Symptoms of pregnancy
The signs and symptoms of pregnancy can vary from one woman to another, here are some common symptoms of pregnancy:
- Late period
- Strong sense of smell
- Swelling and or breast tenderness
- Tiredness
- Frequent need to urinate
- Morning sickness (feeling nauseous / vomiting can occur at any time of day)
If you think you are pregnant or have missed a period, your first action should be to take a pregnancy test.

If you are pregnant you need to decide whether to continue with the pregnancy or to end the pregnancy. The above services can offer you advice and support in making your decision. You can also contact us at the Calthorpe Clinc to talk about you pregnancy options.
Remember – it is only you who can make the decision to have an abortion or continue with the pregnancy. You should not be pressured into making a decision.
If you decide to continue with the pregnancy you must contact your GP so that they can arrange ante-natal care for you throughout your pregnancy to ensure you remain healthy.
If you decide to continue with the pregnancy but would like to consider putting the child up for adoption, speak to your GP and they will offer you advice and support.
